Top Vegan Finds at Iceland (Cheap & Delicious Vegan Food)

Ever walked past your local Iceland and thought, ‘Nah, there won’t be anything vegan in there…’? You’re wrong! Iceland is actually full of excellent vegan options and we’re here to share some of our favourites. Lots of these products aren’t available in other supermarkets so it’s well worth popping in to stock up.

No Cheese Pizzas

Vegan pizza that doesn’t cost a fortune!! Choose from the No Cheese Italian Garden Pizza and the No Cheese Houmous Pizza. We’ve heard that these are tasty but a little watery — but at just £2 each they’re definitely worth a try.

Cadbury Bournville Orange Dark Chocolate

This Bournville Orange Dark Chocolate is delicious and only costs a pound! We’d definitely recommend stocking up if you’re a fan as we’ve only ever spotted this at Iceland.

No Bull Vegan Meat Range

The ‘No Bull’ range of products is completely vegan and has a dedicated fridge in most stores, as well as being available online.

Here’s what you can choose from:

  • No Bull Jalapeño Burgers
  • No Chick Crispy Fillets
  • No Chick Chunks
  • No Bull Meatballs
  • No Bull Mince
  • No Bull Sausages
  • No Chick & No Porkies Paella
  • No Bull Chilli and Rice
  • Asian Burgers
  • Tofu Vegetable Burgers
  • Green Vegetable Balls

Priced between £1 and £3.50 this is way more affordable than most meat alternatives in other supermarkets.

Linda McCartney Vegetarian Sausages

These vegan sausages are a favourite of vegans everywhere, and they’re usually on offer for £1 at Iceland, so it’s definitely the best place to get them.

Zesty Bean Quinoa Steam Bags

These Zesty Bean Quinoa Steam Bags are a really easy lunch/side dish option and they’re nice and healthy! Iceland is actually much better for healthy options than you might think – you can also buy Frozen Cauliflower Rice Steam Bags.

Slimming World Free Food Vegetable Dhal and Chana Saag

The Vegetable Dhal and Chana Saag curries from Slimming World are accidentally vegan and have great reviews. Yum. A few of the Slimming World soups are also vegan-friendly.

Iceland Frozen for Freshness Mushroom Mix

This mushroom mix contains Oyster Mushroom, Button Mushrooms, Shiitake Mushrooms, Nameko Mushrooms, and Porcini Mushroom. We haven’t seen anything similar in other supermarkets and really like the look of this.

Is Iceland Good for Vegans?

Iceland is billed as the UK’s cheapest online supermarket and it has some really great vegan options that you can’t get anywhere else.

However, while you can find basics like soy milk, Iceland is lacking products like vegan cheese, yoghurt, mayonnaise, cake, etc — so it might not be the best place for your big shop.

We’d say it’s worth shopping at Iceland for specific products like the ones above. Since you only have to spend £35 to get free delivery, it’s feasible to do an online shop here every once in a while… even if you just buy 35 bars of Orange Bournville.

Vegan Banana Ice Cream at Iceland (London Branches)

Vegan banana-based ice cream is now available at Iceland in three different flavours – Banilla, Strawbana and Chocobana. A tub counts as one of your 5 a day, and they’re also gluten-free

iceland-nice-cream

It’s £1.50 for a 90ml pot, and we’ve seen some reviews express surprise at how small the containers are, although the verdict on taste seems to have been positive.

Sadly this product is only available in London branches of Iceland so far – you can see a full list of stockists on the Nana Nice Cream website: http://www.nananicecream.com/Stockists. If you’d like to see this range available in all Iceland stores, why not get in touch with Iceland to let them know? Tweet them here, or contact via their website.

If you’re not in London but still fancy some vegan ice cream, check our our list here – you can filter by supermarket on the right hand side!
